Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (P1-ASEM/MD) is the main public higher educational institution with economic profile in Moldova. Currently, ASEM comprises 6 faculties with 26 departments (Business Administration, General Economy and Law, Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, International Economic Relations, Finance, Accounting) two auxiliary departments, seven centers, Master School of Excellence in Economics and Business, Doctoral School, School of Tourism and Hotel Services, a business incubator and National College of Commerce.
ASEM’s mission and vision is to generate and transfer knowledge by: a) supporting the development and affirmation of students and researchers in economic and administrative sciences, as well as in other sub-disciplines of social and human sciences; b) advanced scientific research in relation to social requirements through high quality study programs on all cycles and in all forms of university and postgraduate education; c) the generation of advanced knowledge; d) adult education and training.
A special importance is given to the international cooperation with other higher education institutions, research centers from Moldova and abroad. ASEM has signed more than 80 cooperation agreements with institution from 17 countries of the world, offering various exchange opportunities to students, teachers, researchers and facilitating access to mobilities, and academic opportunities in the various fields, such as Economics, Business and Administration, Finance, Accounting and Informational Technologies.
ASEM is actively involved in ERASMUS + Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) projects as a partner (LMPI, REFINE, SMART, RESTART, MHELM, QFORTE) and as a grant coordinator (ELEVATE, MINERVA, COMPASS, COOPERA) with a budget over two million EUR.
