COOPERA

6th CONSORTIUM MEETING

On May 24, 2023, the sixth consortium meeting was held in the framework of the ERASMUS+ project “Integrating Dual Higher Education In Moldova and Ukraine – COOPERA” (Reference number: 617490-EPP-1-2020-1-MD- EPPKA2-CBHE-SP). The meeting was held online through the ZOOM platform.

The event was attended by representatives of the management teams from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), the International Free University of Moldova (ULIM), the Uzhhorod National University (UzhNU), the KROK University (KROK) Kyiv, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (KKNU), Odessa National University of Economics (ONEU), Baden-Wurttemberg State Cooperative University (DHBW) in Germany, University of Lleida (UdL), Spain, Akademia WSB (AWSB), Poland, Varna University of Management (VUM), Bulgaria.

The main objective of the event consists in the analysis of the performances achieved in the first two years of the implementation of the COOPERA project, the piloting of dual programs in higher education institutions from Moldova and Ukraine and the adaptation of the legislative framework regarding dual higher education.

During the meeting, COOPERA project Grant coordinator – Olesea SIRBU has presented the deliverable plan and results already achieved by the partner institutions. A special importance was given to the activities of the work package 3 dealing with creation of legal condition for implementation of dual higher education in Moldova and Ukraine. Consortium was informed about two legislative acts elaborated and adopted in Moldova, which are Amendments to the Law on Dual Higher Education (D3.2) and Guidelines on implementation of dual higher education (D3.3.). Both documents have been elaborated and adopted by the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova. On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Mr. Vitaliy Lutak has informed the COOPERA Consortium that Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has elaborated and adopted the White Paper on Dual Higher Education (including Action plan) and Amendments to the Law. At the moment, Regulation on implementation of Dual Higher Education are under registration.

Second part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentations, realized by project partner universities from Ukraine, who presented the results achieved within COOPERA project and state of the art of Dual Study programs piloting process. In this regard, the project consortium followed on finalization of the piloting released by the KROK University, which will continue piloting next year as well as Moldovan Partner Universities. Other Three Partner Universities from Ukraine, UzhNU, ONEU and KKNU will start piloting of the Dual education programs from the upcoming academic year 2023-2024.

The meeting has finalized with discussions regarding organization and realization of annual COOPERA expert workshop and Concluding Conference.
